This beautiful Art Deco 1920s diamond platinum engagement ring is shiny, elegant and feminine. Five fiery diamonds are centered to give the illusion of one large, bright white diamond ( 0.68, VS1-VS2, G-H). These five centered diamonds draw your attention to this fantastic combination of white diamond and white platinum. One centered, slightly larger old European diamond is embellished by alternating larger round diamonds and smaller round single cut diamonds. This mixture of five diamonds create a fiery, romantic glow. This pretty platinum mounting is light and lacy. Flowers adorn the openwork filigree on both sides of this ring. This ring is crafted in chevron engraved platinum and has a tender date remembrance inscribed dating the ring to 1927.
During the early 1900s, old European diamonds were the predominant diamond cut. They are recognized by their rounded girdle and higher crown and admired for their ability to reflect an amazing array of light in candlelight.
