Flowing bows gracefully adorn both sides of this estate ladies 1/2 carat old European diamond filigree engagement ring.  Bright accent diamonds and lacy swirls enhance the romantic appearance of golden bows.  Knife-cut openwork filigree further softens the warm designs of this ring.  At the heart of this ring,  is a 1/2 carat old European diamond dispersing radiant light in all directions.  Square mounted single cut diamonds start at the center diamond and lead to a fine wheat engraved ring shank.  This estate engagement ring is crafted in 18kt white gold.

Old European diamonds are often confused with old-mine cut diamonds, because of a similar high crown and open cutlet.  A closer look, shows that an old European diamond has a rounded girdle and more symmetrical cut then old mine cut diamonds.  Old-European diamonds were cut in the early 1900s.
