Daring and different describe this big malachite gold ring. Alternating bands of dark and light green tones are captivating in this large malachite stone.  This oval malachite measures a large 24.13 x 16.18mm ( over 1 1/4" x 1").  Braids of light yellow and faint rose gold twist to form a golden frame around this center stone.  This ring shank has a two twisted bands bordering one strong central shank.  This vintage malachite ring is crafted in 18kt yellow and rose gold.

Around 3000 BC, malachite was found in copper mines and was used to make jewelry and charms.  Malachite was ground into a powder to create green eye make-up.  Painters would also grind malachite to make green paint.
