This exceptionally beautiful antique aquamarine and diamond ring is mounted in 18kt yellow gold.  This aquamarine is mounted in a scrolled openwork design, with 30 side diamonds set in silver.  This feminine estate aquamarine ring features a beautiful deep blue, oval shaped aquamarine that is mounted in a silver-topped 18kt yellow gold setting.

This oval shaped aquamarine measures appx 0.89 ct tw. The name aquamarine is derived from Latin and means "sea water", given this name because of the natural blue-green color.

The Edwardian Jewelry Period lasted about nine years.  This was a time of social reform and the separation of the wealthy upper class. Styles were lacy and feminine.  The Edwardian style emphasized a return to fine gemstones, from a previous period where design and workmanship commaned greater attention.
