A bright, shiny old European-cut diamond draws attention to this estate two-color gold filigree engagement ring. This early 1900s engagement ring features 1/3 of a carat of old diamond framed by a white gold square mounting. Beneath the square top, an open lacy white gold design is found. This 14kt (585) gold estate ring is adorned by open yellow gold scrolls and an engraved yellow gold ring shank.
Old European-cut diamonds were cut in the early 1900s. This diamond cut allowed for beautiful light disbursement in dimly lit rooms. This type of diamond cut is recognized by a higher diamond crown, an open culet and fewer facets.
