This 1/2 carat diamond is a rounded old European-cut diamond. This particular cut of diamonds was cut in the early 1900s. This cut of diamonds is often confused with old mine-cut diamonds. Both diamond cuts have high diamond crowns and open culets. In contrast, the mine-cut diamond has a squarish girdle and less symmetric facets.
