This estate Art Deco diamond and blue sapphire engagement ring is beautiful. This lovely 1920s ring has a fiery, white center old European-cut diamond at almost 1/2 carat that rests in a square mounting. On each side of this center diamond are two triangle-shaped blue sapphires. This 14kt white gold mounting shows lovely open work designs.
Geometric designs like the center square mounting were frequently used during the Art Deco Jewelry period of the 1920s.
