Romantic Lovebirds adorn this estate diamond engagement ring from 1929.  Separated by a single flower, two Lovebirds admire each other on both sides of this ring.  Center focus is held by a bright white 1/2 carat solitaire old European-cut diamond (0.52, SI1, E) is framed by a four sided design.   Additional flowers adorn this openwork filigree ring.  An engraved wheat design embellishes the ring shank.  Made in 18kt (750) white gold.

Old European-cut diamonds were used frequently in wedding jewelry from 1900 to 1930s.  This diamond cut is recognized by a higher diamond crown and rounded girdle.  The name of this cut refers to the cut, not to the country of origin.  Enjoy their beauty in candlelight.
