Simply stunning!   This rare purple sapphire is mounted in a flattering 1940s estate diamond engagement platinum ring mounting. This 1.62 carat, cushion-cut purple sapphire is breathtaking.  This extraordinary reddish-purple sapphire, with a flash of blue, is beautifully complimented by a simple platinum diamond ring setting.  This platinum estate mounting has six glistening, round diamonds that gradually decline in size as they follow the ring shank.  This cushion-cut natural sapphire is a reddish purple with great color and clarity.

One natural cushion-cut medium, moderately strong reddish purple sapphire of about 1.62 carat weight, appx 6.95 x 6.81 x 3.85mm, Clarity Grade: VVS Type II, Tone / Saturation 5 / 4.  This purple sapphire is a replacement for the original stone.  This sapphire originated in Sri Lanka (Ceylon)
Six round brilliant cut diamonds appx 0.36 ct tw, 0.03 to 0.10 carats each, Clarity Grade: VS2, Color Grade: G, H
Measures: 1" wrapped from left to right diamond, 1/4" north to south, almost 1/4" height above finger.
